Griese lab

We use a combination of molecular biology, biochemical and biophysical techniques, including X-ray crystallography, to study the metal-responsive transcription factors in a prokaryotic model organism from the actinomycete family, Saccharopolyspora erythraea. Our goal is to understand the interplay between manganese and iron homeostasis and their links to the oxidative stress response in actinomycetes.
